Dr. Husain is certified in Nephrology and is fully licensed in the State of New York. In addition, he is a clinical hypertension specialist recognized by the American Society of Hypertension. He also actively cares for kidney transplant patients. Dr. Husain is currently an attending at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset, North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove and the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Husain completed both his residency and fellowship training at North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset. His professional interests include all forms of kidney diseases, particularly related to diabetes and hypertension. His main focus of interest is to aggressively control and reduce risk factors that may cause rapid deterioration of kidney function. He was born in Illinois and currently lives with his family in Long Island.
