Dr. Scott Stevens is a distinguished Associate Professor of Neurology and Science Education at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, bringing a robust blend of clinical excellence and academic leadership to his practice. Since joining Northwell in 2009, Dr. Stevens has been dedicated to advancing patient care in neurology while shaping the next generation of medical professionals.Triple Board Certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Epilepsy, Dr. Stevens possesses deep expertise in the complex diagnosis and treatment of seizures and epilepsy. His clinical proficiency extends to the interpretation of neurophysiologic studies and operative planning for epilepsy, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care for his patients.Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Stevens is a prominent voice in medical education. As the Chief of Medical Education for the Northwell Health Department of Neurology, he plays a critical role in developing and overseeing the training of medical students in addition to working with residents and fellows. His commitment to teaching is further demonstrated through his roles as Director of the Neurology Clerkship and Co-Director of The Human Condition, a foundational second-year medical student course. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Stevens has received numerous teaching honors and is a proud member of the Academy of Medical Educators.Dr. Stevens earned his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University and completed his training at Brown University School of Medicine. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society and contributes his expertise to the community as a valued member of the Long Island Epilepsy Foundation Professional Advisory Board.
