Dr. Padaki is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of shoulder, knee and hip injuries. He focuses on both minimally-invasive arthroscopic treatments for joint preservation and total joint replacements. He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Rising Star, a New York Times Super Doctor, and a New York City TopDoctor.Dr. Padaki studied medicine at Columbia University, the nation's oldest medical school, where he earned the New York Orthopaedic Hospital distinguished graduate award for demonstrating the most surgical aptitude in his class. He completed his prestigious residency at Columbia University, where he served as an executive chief resident. He concluded at the historic sports medicine division at the University of California, where he served as an assistant team physician to both Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants and the University of California.His research includes advancing novel surgical techniques for ACL and meniscus repairs, rotator cuff repairs and complex shoulder surgery, and cartilage preservation. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts and has presented his research internationally. Dr. Padaki resides in Brooklyn and enjoys playing basketball, golf, tennis and skiing in his free time. He has served on research and medical missions to Central and South America.
